How to order

At this site, all you do is to click the `Buy' button when you find the item you would like to buy and proceed to `Check out'.
If you proceed to `Check out', the shopping cart automatically calculates the shipping cost.

*Your shopping is not completed unless you click the `Submit' button. You can change your orders before clicking `Submit'.

Proceed to click `Order now', if you are ready to end the shopping. Then you will find all of your shopping information. By clicking `Submit', the order shall be completed. Please wait for the conformation e-mail with the payment information.

Proceed to `Continue shopping', if you would like to go back to the former site to continue shopping.

Proceed to `Order to combine with other items', if you would like to HOLD the items in your cart and ADD OTHER ITEMS later to make the COMBINED SHIPPING.

*The combined package usually makes a reduction of the shipping cost, so you can hold the items for this purpose. We can basically hold your items for two weeks from the day you ordered.
We will inform you of the final estimate of the shipping cost via e-mail. The final estimate may differ from the automatic calculation.

*We cannot accept order cancellations after your purchase order is complete, even for the purpose of holding items for the later shipping. If you would like to hold the items in your cart, please proceed to `Order to combine with other items'.

After you click `Submit', please wait for the invoice e-mail for the confirmation of your order and the payment procedure.

Please note that the item you order online may have been sold at the gallery or at our Japanese website since there is a time-lag to update inventory information on our website. We will confirm whether the item you ordered is available or not via a confirmation e-mail.

The shipping cost includes the actual shipping cost and handling cost. Custom fees and taxes are NOT included. Custom fees and duties and other taxes shall be borne by purchasers.

Items which date back to 100 years or more may need export permits from the Cultural Agency of Japan. It may take approximately 2 weeks to get the export permit for some items.

Since the CITES or Washington Convention prohibits the export of ivory which is often used for the roll ends of Kakejiku scrolls, we shall replace such parts of the item with ones made of other materials such as horn, wood or ceramics.

If you would like to hold items to combine shipping or win items on our e-bay auction, please click 'Check your holding items'.( It is at the right corner of the top page ) When you enter your password provided by us by e-mail or made by your own, it enables you to check the items you hold or won on e-bay auction anytime. In case you would like to come back and check detials of your shopping cart and a combined shipping cost and the grand total, it would be workable as well.
*Regarding the record of your winning items on e-bay auctions, it takes a half day or one day to show the grand total.
