Dear Customers and Friends,
Hello from AkikoYamada sending you Shukado newsletter.
Scorching summer days have continued in Tokyo!
But on the other hand, there are a lot of funs in the summer of Japan.
For example, fireworks displays, wearing a yukata(Japanese cotton kimono), and Japanese food, especially grilled eel!
I would like to survive this hot summer with them.
This is today's lineup.

This Sumidagawa fireworks display began to comfort the spirits of a number of people who passed away by epidemic in 1732.
People in the Edo period were looking forward to the beautiful fireworks. So there are a lot of Ukiyo-e depiction fireworks. Let's look them!
This is a scene of Ryogoku Bridge packed with people watching fireworks.
In fact the bridge was broken due to the weight of people in 1897.
