Ukiyoe painter. Also referred to as Shunshunsai, Shutei, and others as Gago. As a pupil of Hokusai, he succeeded Hokusaifs style but also added a mild air unique to him. He produced more autographs than wood-block prints, particularly genre paintings with appearance of a beauty.
