Ukiyoe painter. Also referred to as Gyokuransai, Gountei, and others as Gago. A pupil of Toyokuni -III-(Kunisada)">Kunisada I and an excellent painter of beauty, warriors, and landscape. He is known to have depicted a number of Yokohama Ukiyoe in the end of Bakufu, also considered one of the pioneers in the field along with Yoshikazu. His depicting landscape takes a bird-eye view.
